A deep sea exploration suit; SubApoc.
pyreƒyre brings us yet another beautiful hardsuit, this time, for the ocean blue. This is the most recent of his hardsuit’s and is certainly excellent. I find myself thinking it hard to believe that some people can get their suits so complicated. I would easily rank this suit equal to that of Tim Z.’s or Chucks.

BrickWorld 2009 was for the most part, a great success. The real highlight was the Micropolis, and the Space display, for me. Space has died ever since Brickfest ‘06, however, this year, Starfighters and SHIP’s ruled the half the tables of AMCP display. Castle was a little disappointing this year, but it was still cool since Peter brought along his castle. The vendors were expensive as usual. This year, there were not as many trains, which is a good thing and a bad thing for many people. All in all, a great convention with a staggering 556 attendees.

^That wasn’t even all of the SHIP’s. There were two more.

Now, all we have to do is start preparing for BrickWorld 2010. Next year, we have the whole hotel.

L.D.M (Lt. De Martinet) is a very talented builder who recently showed us his newest Space Creation. The fantastic greebling, the creation shape of the wings…
There are not enough words to describe how well built this creation is.

This is the beginning of the Teen LUG BrickWorld Teen display. In the moonbase section of BrickWorld this year, four Teen Lego builders are going to spell out the acronym, TFOL. This is the F in TFOL, and I must say. This is a good start. I don’t know if my module will equal up to this. L.D.M is one of Teen Lego’s most talented builders. I can’t wait to meet him at Brickworld.

Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They’re creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy.

Johnathan “Legomocs” has replicated the superconducting, space warping portal from the Stargate science fiction series quite well at a surprisingly small yet effective scale.
Personally, I’ve never watched any of the television series that may have inspired him under the likely probability that they’d be sub-par to the 1994 film, which was pretty good in its day.

I love this. Not only because Warhammer is awesome, but also because Peter is awesome.
Let the pics speak for themselves!

Perhaps Peter Anderson (ShadowViking on Flickr) gets featured here too often, but this awesome viking-themed vignette, featuring a shadowy Champion of Loki wreathed in infernal flames was too impressive not to blog. Amazing work with the fire, and a fun backstory melding the mythology of the Vikings with LEGO’s Orc warriors.

Chase Lewis (Vid’ on Flickr)’s most recent creation, this nifty little steampunk vehicle, is awesome (especially the bottom) and just called out for me to blog it.

Steampunk Walker Mecha Tank, originally uploaded by [jaster].
This tank by Matt Hamann (known as Jaster on flickr) looks pretty incredible, and is probably blogworthy just as a build, and the extremely impressive walking feature is just icing on the cake. All in all, a great piece of work.
