As with most Teenage Lego Builders, school takes up a good portion of life. Certainly, I am no exception. It seems that a mix of schoolwork, homework, music, sports, and just normal social activities have kept me busy and away from a hobby I love. Recently, I have tried to get back with the community.
Well, lets kick it off with a new creation from our very own Zack Milenius(Newright).
As usual, Newright brings us a well crafted, detailed, beautifully executed, large pirate themed layout. The Reconstruction of Fort Oswald is a great little (large) creation, and has some great features, not to mention a large ship of the line entering the harbor. He brings in some SNOT techniques with the smooth water, and some cliff construction techniques with the rocks on the left-hand side.
As usual, great job Zack. Now, perhaps we can get you back on track with your SHIP.

BrickWorld 2009 was for the most part, a great success. The real highlight was the Micropolis, and the Space display, for me. Space has died ever since Brickfest ’06, however, this year, Starfighters and SHIP’s ruled the half the tables of AMCP display. Castle was a little disappointing this year, but it was still cool since Peter brought along his castle. The vendors were expensive as usual. This year, there were not as many trains, which is a good thing and a bad thing for many people. All in all, a great convention with a staggering 556 attendees.
^That wasn’t even all of the SHIP’s. There were two more.
Now, all we have to do is start preparing for BrickWorld 2010. Next year, we have the whole hotel.
